The Trinidad and Tobago Cycling Federation (TTCF) has offered condolences on the death of Corporal Darren Scantlebury, a member of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS).
Corporal Scantlebury was a familiar figure among the cycling fraternity in Trinidad and Tobago and was always happy to assist at TTCF events, road races and training rides.
In a media release on Wednesday, the TTCF stated: "Condolences to the family of Cpl Darren Scantlebury and the TTPS on his passing. Cpl Scantlebury was attached to the Traffic Branch and always assisted the TTCF on Road Events. His love and service to the Trinidad & Tobago Cycling Federation will never be forgotten."
A former student of St Stephen's College, Princes Town, Corporal Scantlebury passed away on 18 May.
